What is the San Silvestre Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Race? It is a popular race registered as one of the biggest events in Gran Canaria and held with the goal of uniting sport and solidarity on the last day of each year.

When and where is the race? On 31st December in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

What time does it start? The children’s race will start at 4:00 p.m., and the adult’s race will start at 5:00 p.m.

What time should I arrive for the race? We are trying to reach the goal of 12,000 runners, therefore, please try to arrive at least 1 hour before the race in order to avoid pre-race jitters. In addition, it is convenient to use public transportation because the city will be overflowed with solidarity and it will be difficult to park.

What are the race distances? The children’s race distance is 600 m., and the adult’s race distance is 6,000 m.

What is the race course? Both races start at the León y Castillo Street, at the Romano Park. The first race goes around the blocks comprising the streets of: León y Castillo / Juan XIII / Luis Doreste Silva / Paseo Madrid / León y Castillo: Finishing line. The adult’s race goes through the streets of León y Castillo / Juan XXIII / Luis Doreste Silva / Venegas / Rafael Cabrera / GC5 / Juan de Quesada / GC5 and back to the starting point/finishing line through Fancisco Gourié / San Telmo and León y Castillo. Will there be any refreshments? Yes, halfway through the adult’s course and at the finishing line. But only water!

How much does it cost? The cost of registration is 10 euros. €5 will be donated to different NGOs
How can I register? At the registration platform (the event’s official website) or at one of the registration points. To know where the official registration points are you can check here: SCHEDULE

Can I participate if I am not registered? No, the essential requirement to participate is to register in order to support solidarity. Your race number and official T-shirt will serve to identify you.

When and where do I pick up my race number and T-shirt? During the month of December we will publish the pick-up dates for your race number and official T-shirt.

What do I need to pick up my race number and T-shirt? You will only need your National Identity Card. If you want to pick up someone else’s number and T-shirt you will need a signed authorisation and the photocopy of their National Identity Card. Do not forget!

Will there be a cloakroom? Yes, but we recommend you not to depend on it because it will be used by many.

Can I run with my dog or pet? Yes, you will be placed at the end of the pack to ensure the safety of our furry friends.

Can I dress up in costume? If you are not wearing the official T-shirt, you should definitely dress up! We will love to see you having fun!

Will I be able to know my race time immediately after I cross the finishing line by downloading the TRACKINGSPORT free app in my mobile phone? You got it! ;)

Can I get a reimbursement of the registration fees? Yes, you can, but you should NOT. Please remember that this is an event that support solidarity and the money collected will be given to different NGOs. (y no es usado para ningún fin lucrativo desde la organización)
